Scrambling and via ferrata course
If you are a summer mountain walker and want to explore further than just the normal mountain tracks then the name of the game is SCRAMBLING or VIA FERRATA. If you want to move safely among steeper ground in mountains and perhaps with the need to use a rope safely, then our courses will show you the way.
The mountains of the Costa Blanca have some of the best scrambling to be found in Europe, and the added fine weather that this part of Spain enjoys for most of the year, makes scrambling here a memorable experience.
Our courses are based in Finestrat, a small village at the base of the Puig Campana, the most impressive mountain on the east coast of Spain. From here we can travel easily to a vast area of wild and un-crowded mountains.
After an initial training day, the week is spent exploring the ridges and scrambles of which this area is so well suited.
Via Ferrata. The Costa Blanca isn’t well known for its Via Ferratas (see pictures to get an idea of what they are). There are however a number of exciting expeditions which will show you what you can really achieve. These can be mixed into the above course.
Barrancos. Very similar to scrambling and may include small Via Ferratas. Most of the barrancos in the area are dry although a number may be wet during rainy periods. These can also be mixed into the above courses.
You will see Spain as you have never seen it before, away from the crowds and into the wild places.
We have no set dates for these courses which are suitable as group activities. Choose your dates. Book as a group and get good discounts.
